SoundCloud Harmonization
When releases are delivered to SoundCloud, the platform may create auto-generated tracks and, in some cases, an auto-generated artist profile if no official profile can be matched correctly.
This works in a similar way to YouTube, where topic channels can be created automatically when no clear match to the official artist channel is available.
To help SoundCloud assign releases to the correct artist profile, we recommend submitting the Harmonization form before the release date whenever possible. This makes it easier for SoundCloud to match the release with the official artist profile from the start and place the auto-generated tracks there.
If SoundCloud has already created an auto-generated artist profile, it is still possible to request a profile harmonization. In this process, the auto-generated profile can be merged with the official artist profile.
How to request SoundCloud Harmonization
- Open the SoundCloud form here.
- Fill in the requested information.
-
Enter the profile details carefully.
It is very important to place the official profile in the correct field. Otherwise, the profile data may be assigned incorrectly.
- Submit the form.
Please also note that all social signals, such as plays, comments, likes, reposts and followers, from the auto-generated profile will be deleted.
