Create a new promotion

To start, go to kontact! and click the green New Promotion button.

1. Select product

First, select the release you would like to promote.

You can search for the release directly or select it from the list. Make sure you choose the correct product before continuing, as the promotion will be created based on this release.

2. Description

In this step, you can adjust the promotion details.

You can edit the email subject and select the label connected to the promotion.

You will also find two important download options:

Require feedback to download tracks

If this option is enabled, receivers can only download the tracks after they have submitted feedback. If it is disabled, receivers can download the tracks without leaving feedback.

All users can download WAV

If this option is enabled, receivers can download the tracks as high-quality WAV files. If not, only MP3 downloads will be available.

3. Receivers

Next, choose one or more receiver pools for your promotion.

After selecting the pool, click Import to add the email addresses to your promotion.

You can also exclude specific receivers from the promotion by selecting the checkbox next to their email address.

4. Tracks

In this step, you can review the tracks included in your promotion.

All tracks from the selected release are added automatically. If you do not want to include a specific track, simply remove the checkmark next to it.

Before sending the promotion, we strongly recommend checking the preview email and sending a test email to yourself. This helps you review the subject, content, tracks, download options and receiver setup before the promotion is sent.

Please check everything carefully, as mistakes cannot be corrected after the promotion has been sent.

5. Promotion status

After creating or sending a promotion, it can have different statuses. These statuses help you understand where your promotion currently stands and which actions are still available.

draft

Your promotion is still in progress and has not been sent yet. You can continue editing it or delete it if you no longer need it.

sent

Your promotion has been successfully sent to your selected receivers. You can view the promotion email, check the feedback from your receivers or send a reminder.

reminder sent

A reminder has already been sent for this promotion. You can still view the promotion email and check the feedback from your receivers.

disable

The promotion has been deactivated. This means it is no longer active for your receivers.
