insights!

In insights! you can get an overview of sales and finances of your releases. A filter can be used to show the data you need.

You can filter by:

  • Time period
  • Artist
  • Products
  • Labels
  • Platforms (e.g. Beatport, Spotify, iTunes)
  • Countries
  • Tracks
  • Type (stream & download)
  • Contracts

For example, you can filter the data by artist to analyze the performance of a specific artist.

You can also save filters (for example an artist name) as a template for future use.

Please also keep in mind that there are two different periods.

1) Accounting Period

Accounting shows the period where you actually got paid.

2) Reporting Period

Reporting shows the actual period where streams and sales have happened.

Example

10.000 Spotify streams happening in July

→ Amount paid in your dig dis! September statement

This means July would be your reporting month whereas September would be your accounting month for these streams.

Below you can see the number of streams, downloads and other metrics for the last 13 months.

Streams: The number of streams generated in the respective month.

Album Downloads: The number of album purchases in the respective month.

Track Downloads: The number of individual track downloads in the respective month.

Payout %: The percentage of revenue this entry represents compared to the other entries on this page.

Payout: The payout amount generated in the respective month.

Note on Album Downloads: Album Downloads represent the total number of tracks downloaded as part of an album purchase. For example, if a 13 track album is purchased twice, the Album Downloads value will show 26, since all tracks from the album are downloaded as part of the purchase.
