Apple Music for Artists

Apple Music for Artists is a free tool for artists, labels and distributors. It provides real time streaming data, audience insights, playlist details and new Shazam chart data, so you can understand the performance of your whole catalog.

Access and setup

Go to Apple Music for Artists and sign in or request access to your artist profile.
Verify your artist profile to gain full access.
Once your access has been approved, you can view your performance data, manage users and customize your artist page.

What you can see

Apple Music for Artists gives you access to insights such as:
- Streams and purchases – See how your individual releases and tracks perform.
- Shazam data – View Shazam activity and chart information.
- Audience and location data – Learn more about where your listeners are located.
- Playlist information – See when your music is added to Apple Music playlists and how it performs there.
- Music and videos – View the songs, albums and music videos connected to your artist page, including upcoming releases.
You can access your data via the Apple Music for Artists website or app.

Personalize your artist page

Under Artist Content → Artist Page, you can customize how your artist profile appears to listeners.

Artist image

Upload or update your artist image directly through Apple Music for Artists. Once approved, the image is displayed on your artist page on Apple Music and Shazam.

Make sure your image follows Apple's Artist Image Guidelines before submitting it.

Artist logo

You can now add an artist logo to give your Apple Music page a more individual look.

Go to Artist Content → Artist Page → Artist Logo and upload your logo. The logo should represent your artist name and follow Apple's Artist Logo Guidelines.

Apple reviews submitted logos before they go live. The review process can take up to five business days.

Customize your button color

You can also customize the color of the Info, Play and Favorite buttons on your artist page.

Under Artist Content → Artist Page → Button Color, choose one of Apple's suggested colors or enter your own custom HEX color.

You can preview the result before applying it. Changes to the button color normally appear on Apple Music within a few hours.

Spotlight your content

The Spotlight feature lets you highlight selected content at the top of your artist page.

For example, you can feature an album, music video, artist playlist or Apple Music Radio content and choose how long it should remain highlighted.

This can be particularly useful when promoting a new release.

Artist details

You can also provide additional information about yourself or your band, such as your origin and other artist details.

Apple also gives artists the option to provide their own commentary through questions and answers displayed on the artist page. Some profile information is reviewed by Apple's editorial team before being published.
