Blocking ruleset for user-videos and livestreams

Since a lot of you have been asking why Facebook is blocking/muting certain videos, we thought we'll give you a quick overview on some of the criterias.

Generally we'd like to make clear that we are not blocking or muting any videos that contain content that has been distributed by dig dis!. We do monitor the usage of our delivered content but never block or mute user-videos or livestreams.

However Facebook has implemented additional criterias and guidelines to retain a certain quality on their user-video uploads, which we'll explain further below.

The Facebook system will stop playback of live streams & user-videos containing matched sound recordings after the following ruleset:

Blocking ruleset for user-videos:

  • Single static-image user videos that use matched sound recordings
  • User-videos that contain four (4) or more matched sound recordings
  • User-videos that contain more than 75% of a commercially-released album

Blocking ruleset for livestreams:

  • Any 60 minutes comprised of 75% or more of matched sound recordings and wherein there are three (3) or more 90+ second matches to any matched sound recordings
  • Eight (8) or more 90+ second matches to any matched sound recordings

If you don’t want to be affected from muting when playing your label’s content, then please send us your FB/IG page URL to labelrelation@digdis.de

Facebook and Instagram verification (blue checkmark)

We can help you apply for the blue checkmark on Facebook and Instagram.

In order to submit accounts for verification we need 5 relevant news articles of the artist.

Preferably, it should be URLs to press-, blog-, or newspaper articles that showcase the artist and his project.

Furthermore, we need the profile links of the accounts you want to get verified.

Form: dig dis! Facebook / Instagram Verification

Your Facebook and Instagram account names should avoid incorrect capitalization and shouldn’t contain symbols, long descriptions or misleading words.

Note: The Facebook/Instagram team manually reviews every verification. That said, there’s no guarantee for you to get verified.
