Apple Music for Artists:

If you want to set focus on Apple Music — especially for Dance, House or Techno releases — we recommend including both a standard and an extended version of your track. Here’s how to prepare your release accordingly:

  • Include both versions when creating your release:
    • One standard version (no version title) for playlists and general listening
    • One Extended Mix clearly labeled in the version title (e.g. "Track Name (Extended Mix)")
  • Bundle both versions within a single release, such as a two-track single or EP:
    • This is the most efficient setup and ensures a consistent experience across platforms
  • Avoid separate releases for standard and extended versions unless absolutely necessary

This setup allows Apple Music to better support DJ-oriented content and offers your listeners more flexibility.
