6) Release date

You can freely choose your release but the release dates have to be set at least 4 weeks after you upload your product in konnekt! This is a safety period where you and us can check the product for errors and guarantee a smooth delivery to the shops. 

You can do nothing wrong here, as our tool automatically restricts you from using invalid dates.

However, we highly recommend releasing on Fridays, as those are the optimal dates of releasing your products.

If you want to publish your release earlier, there is the "Fastlane" option.

You may add pre-release and / or pre-order dates in which your product will be exclusively online on a shop of your choice.

What is a pre-order date?

Pre-order is the starting date from which your content is available to buy but not to download on the chosen platform. After this period ends the orders are available to download.

You can choose the pre-order period from 1 week, 2 weeks or 4 weeks.

Please note that you can only add one pre-order store.

What is a pre-release date?

Pre-release is the starting date from which your content is exclusively available to be downloaded / streamed on the chosen platforms.

Depending on which store you choose, there are different time periods, but 2 weeks is the smallest period.

We do not recommend to choose two different download stores for your pre-release, as this will decrease your chances of getting featured. 

It is better to choose one download and one streaming store at a time for your pre-release.

You can choose these stores for pre-order / pre-release:

If you set a store for pre orders, the same store must be selected for the pre release too, if you use a pre release at all.

For example, if Beatport is your pre order store, Beatport must also be your pre release store. TikTok, Shazam and Facebook or Instagram can only be used for pre releases, not for pre orders.

Under description you can add your product info.

Furthermore you can decide in which countries your release will be released or not.

You can also exclude certain stores.

You also have the option to publish your release only for download or streaming stores.
